What is AI image generation?

AI technology

AI image generation is the automated creation of images by diffusion models and multimodal models from text descriptions, existing images or sketches. For businesses, what counts is not the single prompt but a pipeline that reliably delivers on-brand, high-resolution images that can be used with legal certainty.

What does image generation with AI include?

From on-brand motifs to an automated image pipeline

(01)

On-brand image generation

We adapt Stable Diffusion or Flux to your visual assets with LoRA and DreamBooth. The model learns colours, visual language and composition from your style guide and delivers images in consistent brand quality.

(02)

AI product visualisation

A pipeline creates product photos on different backgrounds, in lifestyle scenes and from several angles, ideal for online shops on Shopify or WooCommerce and for seasonal variants.

(03)

Social media and campaign visuals

Hero images, LinkedIn visuals, blog headers and banners in every format you need are produced much faster than in traditional production while staying within your corporate design.

(04)

Automated image pipelines

With ComfyUI, ControlNet and IP-Adapter we integrate image generation into automated workflows, from briefing through variants and quality checks to the approved asset in your DAM system.

(05)

AI upscaling to print quality

With Real-ESRGAN and other upscaling methods we bring AI-generated images to print resolution, for print campaigns, trade fair displays and high-quality publications.

(06)

Inpainting and outpainting

We extend, change and refine existing images: replacing backgrounds, adding image areas, retouching and creative variants, without re-shooting the motif.

Frequently asked questions about image generation with AI

(01)How realistic are AI-generated images?
Current models such as Flux, DALL-E or Midjourney produce photorealistic images that meet professional standards for product photos and marketing visuals. With fine-tuning on your products and style plus a quality check before approval, we achieve consistent results. We check details such as hands, lettering or logos especially carefully.
(02)Which usage rights apply to AI-generated images?
The providers of DALL-E and Midjourney grant commercial usage rights for their outputs; for open-source models such as Stable Diffusion the respective licences apply. Whether an AI image is protected by copyright in Germany has not yet been fully settled. We advise on licences, labelling obligations and human editing.
(03)Can the AI use our existing brand assets?
Yes. We train models such as Stable Diffusion or Flux on your brand assets, for example with LoRA or DreamBooth, so that colours, visual language and product details are right. The pipeline can be connected to your digital asset management, so approved images are stored directly with metadata and labelling.
(04)How much does image generation with AI cost at Context Studios?
Ongoing API or GPU costs depend on the model, resolution and volume; self-hosted models can be cheaper at large volumes. For developing your image generation pipeline: fixed price after scoping, proposal within 48 hours. A workshop is a good way to start, to define use cases and quality criteria.
(05)Do AI-generated images have to be labelled?
The EU AI Act provides for transparency obligations for AI-generated and manipulated content, especially deceptively realistic depictions. We build labelling and machine-readable metadata directly into the pipeline and document which model created which image. That keeps you ready for future requirements as well.
(06)How do you prevent faulty or unsuitable images?
Every pipeline includes checks: vision models detect typical errors such as distorted hands, wrong product details or unwanted text, filters block unsuitable content, and an approval workflow defines who signs off images before publication. Rejected images feed back as examples to improve the prompts.
(07)Can I generate images of real people?
Images of real, recognisable people touch on personality and image rights and are only permitted with consent. For advertising we recommend generated, non-existent people or motifs without recognisable faces. We set up the pipeline so that such rules are enforced technically and documented.
